The six men arrested last month in a plot to kill soldiers at Fort Dix were indicted Tuesday.

“We were anticipating the inevitable,” said Hiram Johnston, a paralegal in the office of attorney Troy Archie, who represents Eljvir Duka.

Duka, his two brothers Dritan and Shain Duka, all illegal immigrants living in Cherry Hill; along with Mohamad Ibrahim Shnewer, also of Cherry Hill; and Serdar Tatar of Philadelphia, were charged with conspiring to kill American military personnel. The Duka brothers are also charged with possession of weapons by illegal immigrants.

A sixth defendant, Agron Abdullahu of Buena Vista, was charged with providing firearms to illegal immigrants. The men were arrested in a series of overnight FBI raids starting May 7. They are being held without bail at the Federal Detention Center in Philadelphia.

The only new information in the grand jury document was that Tatar transferred ownership of two guns to a third party on Aug. 1, 2006. He did this to prevent those weapons from being traced back to him, the indictment said.
